KUALA LUMPUR: A Rolex watch belonging to Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, engraved with "THE JOHN WICK FIVE" and "KEANU THANK YOU JW4 2021," has been recovered in Chile after being stolen in Los Angeles, USA last year.
Chilean authorities uncovered the watch during an investigation into violent robberies in Santiago, NBC News reported.
The probe led to the arrest of suspects and the recovery of stolen items, including jewels and high-value watches, according to the Investigations Police of Chile.
In a statement shared on social media, the agency identified one of the recovered items as "a watch belonging to a famous actor, stolen in Los Angeles in December 2023."
The discovery was confirmed in a Monday interview with Chilean broadcaster TVN, where a police official stated that they are collaborating with Los Angeles authorities to return the watch to Reeves, 60.
The Los Angeles Police Department noted that the burglary investigation remains ongoing, but no additional updates have been provided.
Reeves, known for his roles in blockbusters like John Wick, Speed, and The Matrix, has not publicly commented on the incident.
Reports from TMZ last year indicated that his Los Angeles home had been burglarised.
