KUALA LUMPUR: XPDC vocalist, Mohd Ali Ismail, 56, was rushed to the Emergency Ward at Cyberjaya Hospital yesterday evening after experiencing shortness of breath.
His wife, Sharifah Azuwanna Syed Joned, 52, shared the news with close acquaintances, urging everyone to pray for Ali's recovery, Harian Metro reported.
The band's official Instagram account, @officialxpdc, also released a statement confirming Ali's condition. "Ali of XPDC (Mohd Ali Bin Ismail) has suffered shortness of breath. His condition is now reported to be stable," the statement read.
The band expressed hope for Ali's quick recovery, adding, "Let us all pray for Ali to regain his health and continue XPDC's journey alongside the other members."
This is not the first health scare for Ali.
On July 10, he was admitted to the Emergency Ward at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Ipoh, Perak, for a similar issue.
The earlier incident occurred when Sharifah Azuwanna sought Islamic medical treatment for Ali's condition. A subsequent clinic visit revealed he had wheezing and difficulty breathing.
An Electrocardiogram (ECG) confirmed a heart attack, prompting his referral to the hospital.
Fans and well-wishers continue to offer prayers and support for Ali's recovery.
