#SHOWBIZ: Chingmy Yau's daughter visits Tengku Zatashah in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Kong social media influencer Ayla Sham, the daughter of veteran actress Chingmy Yau, recently visited Tengku Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin, the daughter of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor in the Klang Valley.

AsiaOne reported yesterday that Tengku Zatashah made a series of Instagram posts beginning Nov 13, where she welcomed 23-year-old Ayla.

"Finally reunited! Welcome to Malaysia my meimei (younger sister)," wrote Tengku Zatashah, 51.

They were guests at the same fashion event in Hong Kong back in June, and it is believed that they first met there.

Ayla had interviewed Tengku Zatashah and called her jie jie (elder sister) at the time.

In September, they also attended the Singapore Grand Prix together.

Tengku Zatashah explained that Ayla also helped her distribute food to needy families from Kechara Soup Kitchen in Kuala Lumpur.

"Ayla flew all the way from Hong Kong. We handed out warm cooked meals, buns, biscuits, oranges and water. She always said that she'd like to join me," said Tengku Zatashah.

Tengku Zatashah also uploaded Instagram Stories from their day at the soup kitchen, captioning them with "sisters" and "girl power".

In a video taken by Justin Cheah, the marketing director of Kechara, they talked about Chingmy.

"Who isn't a fan of her mum?" said Tengku Zatashah, to which Ayla replied: "I'm a fan of my mum!"

Tengku Zatashah said that Chingmy was beautiful and told Ayla: "You look so much like your mum."
