Hong Kong action legend Jackie Chan, 70, remains a global icon for performing his own stunts.
But even a seasoned pro like Chan isn't immune to the risks that come with dangerous scenes.
Recalling a particularly intense moment during the filming of his new movie 'Panda Plan', Chan shared how he once fainted while performing a stunt.
He described feeling disoriented and unaware of his surroundings just before collapsing.
"Suddenly, I felt weak and like I was going to fall. The crew rushed to make sure I was okay," Chan said in a recent statement.
"I didn't realise what had happened until I regained consciousness.
"When they told me I had fainted, I couldn't believe it! I think it happened because I held my breath for too long during the stunt."
Despite the incident, Chan quickly reassured everyone that he was fine and insisted on resuming filming after a short break.
"It wasn't a big deal. I had to let everyone know I was okay.
"Otherwise, they'd have used a stuntman for the scene, and I would've felt guilty just sitting and watching," he explained.
At 70, Chan continues to perform dangerous stunts without relying on a stand-in.
'Panda Plan' features one scene where he rides a motorcycle through a window.
During filming, the bike went out of control, throwing Jackie several metres.
Yet, he calmed the crew down, saying, "It's just a minor injury, nothing serious."
The crew responded with applause, admiring his resilience.
Another challenging scene required Chan to jump from the ground onto a large wooden box and then leap to the second floor.
While it looked simple, it was still a tough task for someone his age.
His dedication and bravery left a lasting impression on the crew.
Alongside Chan, the movie stars Hu Hu, a panda with captivating eyes.
Hu Hu's charming personality, including his adorable habit of hugging Jackie's legs, is expected to win over audiences.
'Panda Plan' follows kung fu star Chan, who is tasked with caring for Hu Hu, a popular panda cub.
When Hu Hu becomes the target of an international criminal organisation, Chan's character teams up with his manager David (played by Wei Xiang) and panda keeper Su Xiaozhu (Shi Ce) to protect the "treasure" in an international rescue mission.
Directed by Zhang Luan, the 99-minute action comedy is currently screening in cinemas nationwide.
