KUALA LUMPUR: Following a string of accusations made by actress Nur Fazura against ex-husband Fattah Amin, the popular actor claims to be keeping a big secret involving his ex-wife.
However, Fattah is keeping mum on the matter since he had promised not to air their dirty laundry in public, which includes not filing for nusyuz (act of disobedience) against Fazura.
"I actually know something, but we have already agreed not to expose each other's aib (shame). I have also agreed not to file nusyuz.
"Don't do things like this (revelation), it's embarrassing. I don't want to," he told Berita Harian.
Fattah was met at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam after the divorce proceedings, yesterday.
The actor said that the volley of unsavoury statements made by Fazura would lead to dreadful repercussions, especially for their four-year-old child, Nur Fatima Aisya.
"It would humiliate our child when she grows up to see mummy (Fazura) and daddy (Fattah) fighting like this. I don't want it, I feel sorry for our child," he said.
Before this, Fazura had spoken to the media after the divorce and claimed that the reason for the split was due to Fattah being unfaithful.
The actress also claimed that Fattah had neglected his responsibility to provide financial support to both herself and Fatima and that they had irreconcilable differences.
Fattah pronounced the single talak for divorce in front of Syarie Judge Abdul Malek Soleh at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court at 9.45am yesterday.
This was after the court granted the divorce application filed by Fazura following Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law Enactment (Selangor) 2003.
