KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Julián Ortega, who starred in Netflix's hit Spanish drama series Elite, died after going into cardiac arrest on Aug 25. He was 41.
According to Variety, Spanish media reported that the actor was visiting Zahora Beach in Barbate, Spain, at the time of his unfortunate demise.
After going into cardiac arrest while on the shore, paramedics later attempted to revive him for several minutes but they were unable to save him.
Ortega can be seen in several episodes of the first season of Elite from 2018, in which he played the manager of the restaurant named La Cabana.
Elite follows a group of working-class teens who enroll in a prestigious private high school and clash with the established elite.
Ortega's other credits include 4 estrellas, Untameable, Sentimos las molestias, and Mylove Lost.
