KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Nabil Zamanhuri, the runner-up of the first season of the reality show Mentor, has died at Ampang Hospital this morning.
The passing of Nabil, whose full name is Nabil Zafril Zamanhuri, was confirmed by his father, Zamanhuri Amarudin.
Zamanhuri did not provide further details about the time and cause of his son's death as he was still at the police station to file a report.
"My son, Nabil, passed away this morning. I am currently at the police station to file his death report.
"He took his last breath at Ampang Hospital this morning.
"I am also waiting for confirmation of the exact time of his passing," he told Berita Harian.
The time and location of Nabil's funeral are still being discussed by the family.
Some of the popular songs he performed include Kenangan Lama, Hati Ini, Selangkah and Beku.
The late Nabil was also actively involved in acting, appearing in films and dramas such as Terbaik dari Langit, Aladdin, Ijab Kabut, BoBoiBoy Movie 2 and Kamelia Katrina.
He leaves behind his wife, Adelia Citra Hapsari, and two daughters.
